Bookmarking with Delicious
Are your bookmarked websites under favorites overwhelming as you scroll through the hundreds of sites you’ve saved? Are you tired of trying to remember which computer you used to bookmark a specific website? Did you forget to email yourself at school the link you found last night for your unit on bugs? Are you constantly thinking about sharing websites with your colleagues but don’t have the time to email them the links? If you answered yes to one or more of these questions this is the class for you! You will set-up an online Delicious account that allows you to collect and organize your bookmarks in one place. With Delicious your bookmarks can be accessed from anywhere and easily shared with others.
Downloading Video- Saving and Viewing YouTube Videos
This session will also include information on how to download and view movies from Teacher Tube and/or YouTube in the classroom.
Selecting Graphic Organizers for Classroom Use
You are planning an online brainstorm activity for your class. You want to model the features of an electronic graphic organizer using your presentation station. Once you search the internet for ideas, you find that there are too many options. What do you need to know about the tools? What are the unique features of each program? What is the difference between a software application and a web-based program? In this activity session you will research, explore, and compare 3 possible graphic organizing tools to use with your class.
