Activity:
This activity creates 2-column current events document with a hyperlink.
- Before beginning the Word activity, you may want to watch this video describing the new layout. Click on Play Demo.
- You may want to set the following before continuing with the activity.
- Select new default printer (instructions here)
- Change Word default style setting from 10-point, double-spaced (instructions here)
- To familiarize yourself with the layout of Word, you are going to try and create document that looks like the example to the left. Click here to view full size.
- Start with a word document that is filled with text. You can download this text document (Anecdotal Inauguration).
- Try to change the the text document to look like the example. If you don’t already have a picture to insert, download a picture of our new president.
- This pdf contains the example and instructions. The example is the first page and the second page has step-by-step instructions on how to create the example.
- Be sure to write down any questions that aren’t answered by the instructions. Time will provided during the large group meeting to answer questions about Office
