Integrating Technology into Core Content Areas
Program Overview: Teach the Teachers (TTT) is a fantastic week-long summer professional development experience that incorporates effective lesson design, best practices and integration of instructional technology tools (levy laptop, web resources, digital still & video cameras) into core content areas.
During TTT, certificated teachers attend with a partner from their school for a full week in the summer and collaboratively develop a successful technology integrated unit of study in one of the following sessions:
- Integrating Multimedia with Video into Core Content Areas
- Webquest (New session offering this year)
Locations & Dates: TTT will be held in both the Edmonds and Seattle School Districts as a non-residential program. Seattle teachers taking the class in Edmonds will use a Edmonds School District loaner laptop for the week of the class.
Note: (teams sign up for only 1 week of classes)
- July 23rd-27th Daily 8am-5pm
- July 30th-August 3rd Daily 8am-5pm
Cost: The tuition cost per teacher for TTT this year is $75. Seattle teachers need to complete the online registration process no later than Friday, May 11th, 2007.
Clock Hours & Credits: 40 clock hours or 4 university credits are available.
