Hello I am a High School Librarian from Pennsylvania and I am very impressed with your blog. I have posted my thoughts at: http://schoollibrarylady.wordpress.com/about/
and if you have time I would be interested in knowing more about your program.
I also posted a comment on Samantha's review of Hunger Games, her use of vocabulary was great!

We’ve created a few similar groups in workspaces with an application call Glasscubes (<a href="http://www.glasscubes.com" rel="nofollow">www.glasscubes.com</a>) and would recommend it as our children are finding it so easy to use.

(Sorry about the other comment.)

Thanks for your words of encouragement. Students and teachers involved in this project are truly energized about the possibilities this virtual world has opened up for us. We look forward to sharing more about the outcomes from the next phase of this project.

Great to have you guys on board. We (at MLC School in Sydney) think that this will be our best year for Skoolaborate. We are further supporting the program with a project officer who will concentrate on making life easier for us all. New partners are jumping in each day and many are ready to begin new relationships with their peers from around the globe. I wish you all the best - Westley

Interesting post - One trick I use frequently in lower light setting where slow shutters speeds are needed is to set the timer for 2 seconds and then depress the shutter. This can diminish the motion of taking the picture (an issue with SLR's) and allow a decent slow shutter shot. It is also possible use sport mode (or a similar motor drive setting on some cameras) to take a quick burst of shots. The first and last are often blurry, but the middle shots can turn out quite clear.
